The Impact Collective

Training for UK university social ventures

Our client: London School of Economics (LSE) / Impact U

Duration: 90 min online trainings

Final beneficiaries: UK universities and their students and academics developing social ventures

The situation:

Impact U brings together UK universities led by LSE to provide training and funding to support pre-seed social ventures founded by academics and students in their communities.

Our solution:

We designed and delivered two training sessions covering Social Ventures 101 and Theory of Change for an audience going from total beginners to those already familiar with the concepts.

The sessions worked independently, but were designed to build on each other so participants would get value from attending both.

Both sessions were interactive and used concrete examples from existing social ventures in the UK to make the content engaging, relevant and easy to grasp.

The result:

Students, academics and professional services staff members joined from universities across the UK, providing great feedback.

“The Impact Collective have created and delivered fantastic online talks for ImpactU. They worked with us to understand our needs and delivered sessions on Social Ventures 101 and Theory of Change for university based ventures. The talks have all been extremely engaging and the team are great at breaking down complex topics. We had very positive feedback from attendees.” – Charlotte Rowan, Senior Research Innovation Manager
